On May 8th and 9th, the Park Plaza Hotel near Schiphol was the location for the second edition of Lexpo. Last year Lexpo kicked-off on Monday with expert sessions from its sponsors and a full house of excellent speakers on Tuesday. This year Lexpo stepped up to the challenge and extended the expo to two full days of expert speakers from across the world.
Bizzomate had the pleasure of hosting a small stand and after last year’s Lego theme, managed to put together a new theme that attracted curious visitors to the booth.
Bizzomate specializes in supporting firms in Digital Innovation and helps make innovation tangible by building innovative apps – very different to the other IT vendors at Lexpo. In all of the surrounding booths software was presented with the promise of tackling a very specific challenge: ‘Better document handling, more efficient practice management, A.I. solutions, etc. All of them experts and all of them very useful. Bizzomate does not have a solution for a specific problem, but builds what you need to set yourself apart from the rest. We support innovation, the possibility to differentiate from the firm across the street. Hence the chef at our stand: you can be the chef in your own kitchen and design your own application.
Like in the kitchen you can choose to heat up a TV dinner, buy fresh pasta and create your own sauce or create both pasta and sauce from scratch. Bizzomate is all about the latter two scenarios, depending on your requirements (and budget). We have supported our customers in solutions ranging from a small portal to bring together various data sources about clients, to a completely new process driven Notary Case Management system.
Even though the vendors are important at Lexpo, it is mainly about the speakers. And an impressive list of speakers it was! The Master of Ceremony set the stage before a full room of lawyers and affiliates preparing for the future with a quote that said it all: “Change has never happened this fast before, and it will never be this slow again”.
And off we went! The balance between speakers and active panel discussion made the two days fly by. Innovation and change were addressed from many different perspectives, from very practical to very academic. Artificial Intelligence was a big topic of course, but I found the session on social media the unexpected eye opener!
We look back on a very successful event and look forward to next year!
